Delineation of ECG signals using phasor transform
Koupil, Michal ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Maršánová, Lucie (advisor)
TThis project deals with delineation of ECG signals using phasor transform. This method is rather new in the field of automatic delineation of ECG and it is not widely used in practice yet. In the theoretical part, the relation between heart activity and ECG is described. A phasor transform is also described. In the practical part, a program was implemented in the computing environment of MATLAB. Its purpose is to delineate the signals. At first, it detects waves’ peaks, then its beginning and starting points. In the next part, analysis of the results is done, as well as comparison with other authors. The testing was performed on the QT signals from the Physionet database.
P Wave Detection in Pathological ECG Signals
Šaclová, Lucie ; Černý, Martin (referee) ; Tkacz, Ewaryst (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
Důležitou součástí hodnocení elektrokardiogramu (EKG) a následné detekce srdečních patologií, zejména v dlouhodobém monitorování, je detekce vln P. Výsledky detekce vln P umožňují získat ze záznamu EKG více informací o srdeční činnosti. Podle správně detekovaných pozic vln P je možné detekovat a odlišit patologie, které současné programy používané v medicínské praxi identifikovat neumožňují (např. atrioventrikulární blok 1., 2. a 3. stupně, cestující pacemaker, Wolffův-Parkinsonův-Whiteův syndrom). Tato dizertační práce představuje novou metodu detekce vln P v záznamech EKG během fyziologické a zejména patologické srdeční činnosti. Metoda je založena na fázorové transformaci, inovativních pravidlech detekce a identifikaci možných patologií zpřesňující detekci vln P. Dalším důležitým výsledkem práce je vytvoření dvou veřejně dostupných databází záznamů EKG s obsahem patologií a anotovanými vlnami P. Dizertační práce je rozdělena na teoretickou část a soubor publikací představující příspěvek autora v oblasti detekce vlny P.
Detection Of P Wave During Second-Degree Atrioventricular Block In Ecg Signals
Maršánová, Lucie ; Němcová, Andrea ; Smíšek, Radovan
Automatic detection of P wave during the second-degree AV block is the main condition for automatic detection of this pathology. This work deals with developing of the algorithm for P wave detection. The algorithm is appropriate for ECG signals with AV block as well as signals with other rhythm types (it does not produce false positive P wave detections). For P wave detection, the phasor transform is applied and several innovative rules are created. These rules are based on knowledge of heart manifestation during both physiological and pathological heart function. The proposed algorithm consists of four parts – filtration, QRS complex detection, application of rules, and P wave detection. The accuracy of the P wave detection algorithm is 99.74 % for signals with AV block, and 99.82 % for signals without any pathologies.
